Walt joined IOTA in 1988. He has observed over 1,000 occultations and has provided occultation predictions for 3 decades. He created and maintained IOTA’s first website

lunar-occultations.com in 1995. He recovered 100’s of occultation timings identifying previously unknown occultation stars and is the distributor of Occult software worldwide – in the early years by CD and later by direct download.  Walt created and maintains the IOTA email discussion group and was co-author of the book “Occultation Observer’s Handbook” in 2006 with Hal Povenmire.
