The 2008 Homer F. DaBoll award recipient is Edwin Goffin from Hoboken, Belgium for his dedicated contributions since the 1980’s in predicting asteroidal occultations and the yearly asteroidal occultation supplement. Goffin was previously honored by having an asteroid named after him, 1722 Goffin for his extensive computations in minor planet orbits.
