IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (35) Leukothea / TYC 4952-00793-1 event on 2021 Jan 29, 03:11 UT Visible from Russia Summary ------- On 2021 Jan 29 UT, the 106.1 km diameter asteroid (35) Leukothea will occult a 10.4 mag star in the constellation Virgo for observers along a path across Russia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.54 mag to 12.83 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 14.0 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
