IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (1200) Imperatrix / TYC 6225-00966-1 event on 2021 Jan 28, 06:22 UT Visible from Europe Summary ------- On 2021 Jan 28 UT, the 40.5 km diameter asteroid (1200) Imperatrix will occult a 10.2 mag star in the constellation Ophiuchus for observers along a path across Europe. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 6.33 mag to 16.53 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 1.1 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
