IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (247) Eukrate / TYC 1442-01176-1 event on 2020 Dec 30, 03:58 UT Visible from Europe Summary ------- On 2020 Dec 30 UT, the 141.7 km diameter asteroid (247) Eukrate will occult a 10.2 mag star in the constellation Coma Berenices for observers along a path across Europe. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.95 mag to 13.03 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 25.1 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
