IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (928) Hildrun / UCAC4 438-60675 event on 2020 Dec 19, 10:31 UT Visible from NE USA, SE Canada Summary ------- On 2020 Dec 19 UT, the 63.2 km diameter asteroid (928) Hildrun will occult a 9.3 mag star in the constellation Libra for observers along a path across NE USA, SE Canada. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 6.47 mag to 15.77 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 1.6 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
